Mute Horse Bootleg
The result of a morning
spent playing live at Sunset Recording Studios,
Mute Horse Bootleg presents several of the songs
the band performed around Stellenbosch in 2000, five of
which have been reworked and rerecorded for their 2009 album,
From the Wrong Side of the River. This earlier recording
is not a polished product, but it provides a fair sense
of the bands sound at the time. Additional improvisational
instrumentation by Chris Wait (on guitar, accordion, harmonica)
was mixed in after the tracks were laid down; the final
(instrumental) track was recorded in Waits living
room.
